Uganda U-17 camp has received a massive boost with the news that 3 of the players recently called to beef up the squad have passed the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) test.

Qatar based midfielder, Hassan Ssenyonjo, defender, Diego Katumba and 14 year old striker, Ezra Bidda have all passed the test, mandatory for all players to play in this underage competition.

“It is good news for the reinforcement of the team”, head coach, Matia Lule told Kawowo Sports.

Another player, Willy Ochen will be subjected to the test on Thursday. Uganda hosts Rwanda in the first leg at Namboole Stadium in a 2 pm fixture. The 3 officially join the rest of the players available for selection on Saturday.

The winner over the two legs qualifies to play Zambia at the last stage of qualification whose eventual winner will qualify to the youth continental championships slated for next year in Niger.

The team successfully held a training session at Namboole on Wednesday evening at 2 p.m (same time the match will be played).

Midfielders:
Ahsraf Mugume, Frank ‘Zagga’ Tumwesigye, Pius Obuya, Emma Olinga (Vice Captain), Julius Poloto and Musa Mukalazi

Strikers:
Shaban Muhammed, Charles Ssebutinde and Ezra Bidda.
