The fifth round of the 2014 Uganda National Motocross championship is set to take place this Sunday 20th July at the Garuga racing track.

The event will be graced by former national Germany champion Jurgen Kuppers who is in the country to help coach Team Uganda ahead of the FIM East and Central Africa motocross championship 2nd leg in Nairobi in August.

But focus will be on how he comes up against his student Maxime Van Pee who is relishing the challenge, ‘I expect tough competition from Kuppers and Arthur but will try and out do them. The training has been good so has the track and bike so I will be ready to give everything for the fans’, Maxime told Kawowo sports.

Van Pee has been outstanding this season so far leading the championship with 237 points while Arthur Blick trails in second place with 201 points and Talhah Kiggundu in third with 166 points.

With a few races left to the end of the season, Maxime will be hoping to tighten his grip on the National motocross championship by further extending his lead and breaking Arthur’s dominance.
