The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has announced that government has offered to fund the forthcoming national teams’ away trips to Rwanda and Mauritania.

The Cranes pay a courtesy visit to Mauritania for the second leg of the 2015 AFCON second round qualifiers whilst The Cubs (U-17) play Rwanda’s Junior Wasps in the 2015 Africa Youth qualifiers next weekend between August 1-3, 2014

Cranes will carry a 2-0 lead to Mauritania while Cubs lead 4-0 from the first leg.

“We are grateful for the offer from the President of Uganda. This support is timely as we have been struggling with finances,” FUFA boss Moses Magogo told www.fufa.co.ug shortly after receiving the news.

It’s the second time in less than a year that government has offered such support to the national team after it financed a training camp in Turkey before the clash against Senegal in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
