Rwanda 2 – 3 Uganda (Aggregate: Uganda 7 – 2 Rwanda)

Uganda Cubs has progressed to the last stage of the CAF 2015 Qualifiers after a resounding 3 – 2 away victory over a ten man Rwandan side at the Umuganda stadium in Gisenyi City today.

Uganda led 2 – 0 by half time through strikes from Charles Ssebutinde and Julius Poloto.

Rwanda rallied back to level the scores 2 all at one stage – thanks to forward, Rachid Biriganeza’s double.

Goal poacher, Muhammed Shaban, scorer at Namboole in the opening leg at Namboole won the game for Uganda with a strike with 15 minutes left on the clock.

Uganda progress with a 7 – 2 victory and awaits the winner between Botswana and Zambia.

Matia Lule, Uganda Cubs’ head coach hailed the performance of his charges but was quick to react bitterly about the ruined opportunities to bury off the game.
