A1 Challenge vs UCU Lady Canons 6:30pm
UCU Canons Vs Riham Warriors 8:30pm

The Riham Warriors are in an unfamiliar position going by recent history. Their coach, Gad Eteu is well aware. The former champions’ 6-5 record places them at seventh position behind Oilers, Falcons, Power, Canons, Titans and Ndejje.

“Our position is already bad enough and we know it.” Eteu said said at the end of the first round. “We have got to change in the second round” he added.

Warriors get the second half of the season underway this evening against UCU Canons at YMCA. Having lost the first round encounter to Canons 66-69 Eteu believes Warriors can get a result this time round.

“I think it is not going to be easy but we want to get a result and we can get the result” Eteu says. “All the guys are fine and good to go apart from Okiasi. He wont play”

The Canons meanwhile sit fourth only behind Oilers, Falcons and Power. They have always approached every big game with a will to win and that wont be different tonight when they face Warriors tonight.

“We want tough games like these to shape up our season” UCU’s coach Nick Natuhereza says. “I cant say we will win but we will fight hard and play to win” he added.

The Canons will be with out sharp shooter Suudi Ulanga and Natuhereza believes that shouldn’t affect them them. “All the guys are fine a part from Suudi (Ulanga)” he says. “We always want to approach games as team rather than looking at individuals”

In the women’s division, wounded UCU Lady Canons will face A1 Challenge. The Lady Canons (8-2) come into the game off a poor show against KCCA Leopards on Wednesday. Coach, Boniface Okello attributes such performances to the team being new.

“This is a fresh team. Nearly half of the team is new and we are not as fluid as we were last season but we will be fine.” he says.

A1 (5-5) are also struggling through the season but Okello doesnt want to under rate them.  “I wouldn’t say they are a bad team but we want and should be able to win today’s game”.

The former champions, A1 Challenge haven’t beaten any team above them losing to KCCA, Magic Stormers, UCU Lady Canons and twice to KIU Rangers. It only gets more tough when you face wounded Lady Canons.
