The Ugandan football FA, FUFA has announced a 25% discount on the Uganda – Guinea match day ticket.
“We are offering a ticket at 15000/= but only for the first 5000 fans”, Hussein Ahmed, the FUFA publicist told Kawowo Sports.
The development follows a public outcry from a large section of football fanatics over the hefty match entry fees for the home fixtures in the upcoming AFCON group campaign.
Uganda hosts Guinea on the 10th September 2014 at Namboole in the opening game of the AFCON 2015 group phase.
“This discount is intended to encourage our fans benefit from early payments as is normally done at major tournaments” said FUFA Finance Director Decolas Kiiza.
“FUFA is about innovations. We have decided to introduce the Early Bird Tickets in order to encourage our fans buy them early instead of the last minute rush” said the FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo.
