Former KCC FC custodian Jamal Salim says he will be under no pressure when his club El Merriekh takes on KCC FC in the 2014 Kagame Cup semi-finals.

The two sides clash on Friday afternoon at Kigali Regional stadium, Nyamirambo in a battle to reach semis but Jamal who recently crossed to the Sudan club mid this year insists it’s a normal game.

“It’s a game like any other where you go out seeking to leave the pitch on the winning side,” Jamal told Kawowo Sports. “There is no pressure on me for this game but as a team, we are here to win and that won’t change against KCC FC,” he added.

The former U-20 goalie who saved Lionel Saint Preux spot kick to hand El Merriekh a ticket to the semis says that KCC FC is a good side with quality players but believes his side will match them pound for pound.

“We are ready for the battle. KCC FC is a quality side but we are either,” he explained.

Jamal is expected to once again start in goal for the 1986 and 1994 champions in a game that will be his first against the Lugogo based side.
