Uganda U-17 National team skipper, Andrew Okiring Isiagi has been ruled out of the 2015 CAF U-17 qualifier against Zambia in Lusaka.

“We have confirmed Andrew (Isiagi) will not be with us because he is at school in the United States”, head coach, Matia Lule said.

Isiagi , a full back player at the right position played all the 4 games in the earlier two rounds against Seychelles and Rwanda.

Replacements:
In Isiagi’s absence, the team has two cover players. “There are lots of players in the camp who can play that right back role”, Matia said.

Airtel Rising Stars u-17 most valuable player of the 2014 tournament, Diego Katumba is one of the players that the team’s technical team looks upon as Isiagi’s replacement.

Joel Jangeyambe is looked as the natural right back in the team and can also fill up the void left by Isiagi.

Ray of Hope:
Lule is hopeful that Isiagi will be available for the return leg in Kampala. “We expect to be with him during the return leg in Kampala”, Lule adds.

Isiagi is a college student player at Carlisle Academy in the U.S.

Gor Mahia academy player, Emmanuel Olinga will captain the team in Zambia.
