For the first time National Social Security Fund (NSSF) the title sponsors of the Men’s Serie A and Women volleyball leagues met with clubs last week at Kati Kati Restaurant.

NSSF’s acting Head of Marketing Edgar Birungi and the company head of Public Relations Victor Karamaji used the opportunity to clear the air about boiling issues of NSSF jerseys and the prices for the league winners.

“The Money or prizes that NSSF intends to avail for the league winners have no conditions attached to it,” Birungi told clubs.

Last month UVF president Sadik Nasiwu had told clubs that the sponsor was working on benefits for the league winners but only those who donned sponsor’s branded kit would qualify.

“Whether you have put on the jersey or not our offers are up for whoever wins the league and the players who would have excelled,” Birungi told clubs.

Birungi also promised to rectify the area of branding since clubs were not happy about promoting a brand they don’t benefit from directly.

“We promise to rectify what went wrong with the Branding; all we ask for is space on your jerseys and not to be dominant like it was earlier stated.”

Birungi promised clubs the US$1000 is available for the winners of the men and women Leagues.
