AFCON 2015 QUALIFIERS – Group E:
Wed, 10th September 2014:
Uganda Vs Guinea – 7:30 p.m
Namboole Stadium
Home fixtures usually come along with that projected pressure to deliver the most wanted results – victory lest a positive outcome in a draw.
Uganda Cranes head coach, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sedrojevic’s wish, like the majority of other Ugandans is to go for all the three points as the hosts entertain Guinea in an AFCON 2015 group E qualifier at Namboole Stadium tomorrow.
“We shall have to be disciplined both in attack and defense for the entire duration of the game but my strategy would be seeking for the 3 points at home”, Micho told the media during the maiden training session under floodlights at Namboole stadium.
With a full house already in place, the Serbian born tactician is already spoilt for choice. Striker Geofrey Massa and left winger, Brian Majwega are all available having missed the first leg against Ghana for different reasons.
Whereas Massa was released late by his South African club, Majwega was nursing an ankle injury. He has since passed the fitness tests and looked comfortable on the ball with his customary quick burst of pace and dribbles.
Tusker defender, Martin Kiiza alongside Vipers’ midfielder Allan Kyambadde and goal keepers – Brian Bwete and Benjamin Ochan are the another Cranes players who participated in the session.
The Serbian is expected to trim the players’ list after today’s session and will name the starting 11 tomorrow morning, with hours to kickoff.
Togo will play Ghana as Uganda hosts Guinea.
