Uganda Sports Press Association will hold it’s annual road safety campaign Thursday firstly with a memorial service at Christ the King Church, to commemorate the death of USPA executive members Andrew Kenneth Matovu, Francis Batte Junior, Leo Kabunga and Simon Peter Ekarot, who died in an motor accident in Lugazi on Jinja road in 2001.

The sports scribe body has moved this year’s activities to Entebbe town were they will be matching and then painting zebra crossings at one of the points in Entebbe town they will also be joined by their sponsors City Tyres and Standard Chartered Bank on Saturday.

The Sports Scribes body will also remember other members who have died at the service. It’s the third time that the activities will be moving out of Lugazi, other places that have hosted the activities include Natete and Jinja district.

The USPA executive led by USPA president Mark Namanya, will led all the USPA members in the weekend’s activities together with the sponsors and past executive members.
