Finishing third last season cost Coach Paul Nkata the job despite winning the Uganda Cup thus Alex Isabirye knows anything less than the championship will be disaster.

The former champions will have a new look after parting ways with a number of senior players and it remains to be seen how Isabirye will cope.

The side will be without experienced defenders Musa Docca and Derrick Walulya after they were released and it remains to be seen whether Ronald Sseku signed from Vipers can do the job alongside the talented Sam Senkoomi.

Besides Sseku, the tax collectors have also added experience in ex-player Patrick Ochan whose experience will be crucial.

Last Season: 3rd

Players In: Patrick Ochan (Free), Sulait Luyima (SC Villa), Jimmy Kulaba (Police), Deogracious Otieno (Kiyovu – Rwanda), Ronald Ssekubomba (Vipers), Bunni Godfrey (The Saints), Churchhill Kanyana (Polysack) , Ronald Kigongo (Buwoya), Mohamed Kanakulya (Kasubi),  Peter Lwasa (URA Youth Programme), Ali Mawejje (Seeta United).

Players Out: Owen Kasule (KCC), Evans Tugume, Allan Owiny (Muhoroni Youth, Kenya), Derrick Walulya (SC Villa), Yasin Mugabi (KCC), Musa Docca (SC Villa), Erisa Sekisambu (SC Villa),  Hashim Sempala, Davis Kasirye (Bul FC) and Kivumbi Martin (Bul FC)

Player to Watch: Feni Ali Moses: Not so many Ugandan players do it but Feni has already set himself a 15 target goal for the season. Calm, composed, a good passer with an eye for goal. A player to watch and his form will determine URA FC’s final position.

Coach: Alex Isabirye: He is back at the club where he won the only championship in 2011. He understands the values of the club and he is more assured of support from top management unlike his predecessor.

Strengths: If there is any club in the league that uses home advantage maximally, it’s URA FC. The Tax Collectors have only lost twice at Lugazi and this added to the motivation in terms of bonuses and timely payments will give them slight advantage above the others.

Weaknesses: Their centre back looks shaky after the departure of Musa Docca. Besides, Isabirye isn’t that astute tactically and may crumble under pressure incase his side doesn’t achieve good results in their opening fixtures.

Home: Mehta stadium, Lugazi

Prediction: Top Four: Interesting to see how they cope with the returning Isabirye but I think they’ll finish in the top four and be in the mix for the title.
