URA FC 1-1 Bright Stars
Five time league champions URA FC needed a late equaliser to snatch a draw against visitors Bright Stars at Mehta stadium, Lugazi.
Meddie Kakeeto surprisingly put the Kawempe side in the lead as early as the fourth minute which they held on till half time.
Paul Kiwanuka’s side had a genuine penalty appeal turned down by referee Ali Bakisula in the 80th minute when Deo Otieno handled Kokas Opejo’s shot inside the 18 yard area.
Four minutes later, Ugandan international Robert Ssentongo who had replaced Patrick Ochan found the back of the net to send the home fans into frenzy.
There was no change to the score line at the final whistle.
The match was watched by among others Uganda national team coach Mulitin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic and goal keeping coach Fred Kajoba who also doubles as the Simba SC coach.
