Uganda’s national golf team maintained it’s status quo of the top five with a gross total of 226 gross total at the Africa Golf Confederation President’s Cup at the Ndola Golf Club in Kitwe, Zambia yesterday.
2013 Uganda Open champion Peter Ssendaula, returned with the best score of level par 73 gross while his team-mates national captain Phillip Kasozi, returned with a three over par 76 gross while Uganda Open champion 2014 Willy Deus Kitata and Adolf Muhumuza both returned four over par 77, but the organisers of the tournament consider the top three best scores that is Ssendaula, Kasozi and Kitata in that order.
Zimbabwe leads the tournament with a total of 220 gross with the hosts Zambia in second position with 224 gross Kenya is third with similar scores of 224 while Malawi is fourth with 232 gross going into the third day of action.
The continental tournament ends on Friday. The tournament has attracted 8 nations.
