Kira Young FC 1-1 Police FC
Early Uganda Premier League (UPL) pacesetters Police FC have been held to a one all draw by Kira Young FC in a match played at Mutesa II stadium Wankulukuku on Friday afternoon.
Fresh from beating SC Villa 2-1 on Tuesday, the Cops were stunned as early as the sixth minute when Moses Ndaula gave the hosts the lead.
Despite efforts to find a leveler, Paul Nkata’s charges went into the break on top. The second half was no different with Police FC pressing high and their effort paid dividends when Umar Kasumba hit the back of the net in the 73rd minute.
The goal; his fourth of the campaign didn’t only ensure Police FC salvaged a point but also took him to the top of the goal scoring charts with four goals in four matches.
Police FC however relinquished table leadership to SC Villa who won URA FC 1-0 in Mityana while Kira is now 9th with four points.
