On a brilliant opening day of the FUFA big league, The Saints f.c sent a strong statement of intent – securing promotion to  the Uganda Premier league 2015/16 season.

The Saints won away 0 -3 against Big league new entrants, Namasagali f.c at the Namasagali College play grounds in the eastern Uganda district of Kamuli.

Alex ‘Benzima’ Kitata, Jordan Tamale and Tonny Magala secured a great beginning for the Namboole based side who now top the Rwenzori group team log.

Paidha based Paidha Black Angels closely monitor the table standings with a second place slot after a 2 – 0 home victory over Ngora Freda Carr at the Barokoro Zombo grounds.

Second half goals from Bob Ogwang and Victor Aweko helped the Black Angels mark a winning start.

Ogwang tapped in following a rebound from Victor Aweko, before the latter scored a powerful header from a well taken Cheka Sabiri freekick.

The CRO versus Jinja Municipal game was not played because the licenses for CRO had not been yet processed by kick off time.
