Rashid Bukenya gave the military side a lead in the 22nd minute and the lead lasted till half time. The hosts however found the equaliser in the 87th minute through Mata Kagimu but any hopes of securing a draw vanished when Robert Nakyenalire netted Simba’s winner with a minute left on the clock.
It was Simba’s first win since their opening day victory against Entebbe FC a couple of weeks ago. The side which had no coach on the bench after Fred Kajoba was suspended by the club had lost three games on the trot since then.
Victory lifts Simba to 8th on the table with 6 points while Soana who are win-less in the campaign so far in four fixtures remain 14th with just one point.
