ELGON GROUP
Proline 1 – 2  Maroons
VCC 1 -1  Jinja S.S

Maroons defeated Proline 2 – 1 in one of the most thrilling fixtures of the 2014/15 FUFA big league fixture played at Nakivubo Stadium on Sunday.

Paddy Muhumuza put Proline ahead after 38 minutes before enterprising winger, Hood Muliki made quick amends with the equalizer 4 minutes later for an all square opening half.

Striker, Brian Akena took full advantage of a goal melee to drill a low drive past goalie, Charles Lukwago and the rest of his stranded defenders 8 minutes to full time.

Both sides needed an opening victory to the season having drawn in their respective openers.

Proline drew 1 all against Synergy while Wandegeya held Maroons to a non scoring draw at the Uganda Prisons play ground.

At the Nakivubo fixture, both sides exhibited a fluid passing game only dented by the collision of Maroons goal keeper, Swaibu Ssebagala before he was replaced by Jamal Maliyamungu, after 55 minutes.

In the other Elgon group fixture played, VVC and Jinja s.s played to a 1 all draw at Masindi stadium.
