If there is any football coach on planet earth at the moment under intense pressure to deliver the positive results, then it has got to be Uganda Revenue Authority (URA)’s Alex Musongola Isabirye.
His side does not dream of any other slip up after a shaky start of the season.
The tax collectors’ team has just picked up two draws Stars (1-1) and newly promoted side Sadolin (0-0) for their only two points of the season on three outings having lost their last league fixture; 0 – 1 away to 16 time record league winners, SC Villa.
To make amends, URA has the plat form to register the season’s first victory of the season as the team visits Simba SC at the Bombo Baracks Military Stadium.
“We are not under any sort of pressure but I have prepared my teams physically and mentally for the fixture”, Isabirye told Kawowo Sports.
Simba ‘s John Kayanja still continues with his caretaker role as coach still head tactician, Fred Kajoba (also Uganda Cranes goal keeping coach) is still under an indefinite suspension.
The home team will look to the tricky pacy striker cum winger, Lawrence Ndugga for inspiration as Raymond Edema and company offer the tight defensive cover to thwart any threat that would come from URA’s Saidi Kyeyune, Elukana Ndguwa, Robert Ssentongo and Patrick Ochan.
URA’s last game in Bombo last year was awarded after the home side failed to show up.
URA will still miss skipper Simeon Massa, who is recovering from an injury and defensive duo of Allan Munaaba (left fullback) and centre back Sam Senkoomi, who trained with the team today in Seeta but is deemed unfit following a bout of malaria.
Simba have won twice this season as visitors without a single home victory and with their coach Fred Kajoba suspended.
Simba is currently 8th with 6 points from 4 games as URA languishes in the relegation zone (lies 14th with just a miserable 2 points from 3 games played).
