University Football League Results (Semi-final 1st Leg): KIU 0-1 MUBS

Roger Katerega was the hero for Makerere University Business School (MUBS) as the Nakawa based institution earned a vital win of the first leg of a semifinal game of the University Football League (UFL) played Wednesday at Nsambya pitch.

Katerega scored from the penalty spot to on 39th minute to help MUBS defeat Kampala International University (KIU) 0-1 at their backyard.

In the highly cheered game, KIU’s goalie Sekatawa went the right way but was beaten by the power as Kateregga rattled his penalty into the back of the net, and sent the visiting fans into cerebration.

MUBS qualified to semi-final stage after beating Gulu University 4-0 in the second leg of their quarter final tie at Nakawa on Friday 3rd October overcoming a 2-0 deficit from the first leg in Gulu.

The victory and an away goal advantage put MUBS, who will host the return leg next week, in light to proceed to finals.

Kyambogo University hosts Nkumba University tomorrow in the other second semi-final of the UFL.
