Super Eagles Midfielder Raheem Lawal has vowed to spill his blood as long as Nigeria make it to the 2015 Africa Cup Of Nations final tournament, whose venue is yet to be announced by CAF after earlier designated hosts Morocco, withdrew from hosting due to fears of an Ebola outbreak.

24-year-old Raheem who currently plays for Turkish Super Legue side Eskisehirspor, says he is proud to play for his national team, Nigeria and is ready to give his all when the outfit faces Congo on Saturday and South Africa the following Wednesday at home.

I always feel proud representing my country and I want to assure Nigerians of my best in the games against Congo and South Africa, my ambition is to play at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations and I’m ready to spill my blood to ensure we get a ticket to defend the title we won last year. I’m aware of the tough task that lies ahead of us against Congo in Point Noire, but I’m sure the rest of my teammates are aware of this and we are going there to ensure we secure maximum points before plotting the fail of South Africa in Uyo.

Lawal told Goal.

The reigning African champions who are currently in third position with four points, return in the fray on the back of a 1-0 win courtesy of Emem Eduok’s 35th minute goal in a friendly match played against Ghana on Saturday. They need to win both of their remaining matches to gather a total of six points if they are brighten their chances of qualification.

If they beat Congo who are currently second with 7 points, prayers will need to be said all over Nigeria in order for South Africa to lose against Sudan.

The outfit will have equal points with Sudan before the last match. If the Super Eagles proceed to defeat South Africa in the final match on Wednesday in Nigeria, they shall have qualified even if Congo beat or lose to Sudan. If South Africa wins against Sudan on Saturday, Nigeria will have to beat Congo and similarly hope that they lose against Sudan.
