Spare the rod and Spoil the child, goes an old school adage.

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) disciplinary committee has deliberately chosen never to trend the adage’s path.

On Wednesday, the Federation acted swiftly to summon their own FUFA family member over an alleged fist fight with a Uganda Premier League coach.

The official summoned is the celebrated radio presenter, Abu Zikosooka, a member of the FUFA media committee.
The disciplinary committee has summoned Zikusooka (Abu) over an alleged confrontation with another official in Mityana during the SC Villa Vs Express game a month ago
FUFA’s head of media committee, Ahmed Hussein revealed to Kawowo Sports.

It is on record, Zikusooka was involved in a physical fight with Express F.C Coach, Wasswa Bbosa during the aborted tie between the hosts, SC Villa and Express (Villa was leading 2 -1).

The Uganda Premier League (UPL) board had since passed the verdict of the match, awarding SC Villa 3 points and goals for the Express F.C fans’ violence.

Zikusooka is not the only one on the committee’s wanted list, Bbosa (Wasswa) himself has been since summoned.
Relatedly, Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA) had already passed a sentence suspending Zikusooka indefinitely from the sports body.

Meanwhile, the FUFA disciplinary committee, headed by Godfrey Ojok will be hearing the petition filed by Kampala region implicating the women’s committee concerning their recently held FUFA Inter-regions’ football tournament.

Kampala missed the event over unclear reasons and have since been in ‘FUFA’s bad books’.

At the same time, Kamada Lubega, a former Wandegeya F.C player , who allegedly changed his identity to ‘Zlatan Lubega’ and featured for Maroons F.C in the FUFA Big league has been also summoned.

Lubega played full time in Maroons goal-less draw at the Uganda Prisons Stadium in Luzira against Wandegeya.

Wandegeya petitioned the player to the FUFA Competitions Committee and Maroons have since lost the game by forfeiture.

The beach soccer players; Abdul Karim Alvaro (Real Galacticals) and Kassim Nasir ( Braza Braza) banned for and 5 years respectively for fighting referees will also face the committee.

Like the case has been, the verdicts from the cases above will be made public as soon as they are passed.
