Jinja Municipal Council (JMC) approach Thursday’s FUFA Big league home fixture against Ngora Freda Carr at Kakindu Stadium with ambitions to reclaim the top position.

JMC have not won at home in the last fortnight losing 1-2 and drawing 1 all to The Saints F.C and Hope Doves respectively in their two last fixtures at the Kakindu fotress.

A victory for JMC over Ngora Freda Carr will see the team climb on 16 points, one above The Saints F.C who would have played 2 games less.

The other Rwenzori group fixture will see the ‘draw masters’, Hope Doves travel to Luwero for a date against the fast improving Ndejje University.

The latter target  going second on the 13 team log in case they fetch 3 points with a two points’ difference.

If there is any team in the FUFA Big league that thrieves on home support, then Ndejje University joins

A victory for Ndejje University, who were held to a disappointing home draw last week against Kumi United will see them on 13 points, just 2 behind the unbeaten The Saints F.C, who visit them on Sunday.

Hope Doves have themselves had a disappointing start of the season, drawing 3 and losing 3 of the 6 fixtures they have played.

A visit to Ndejje University will be looked as a survival stint against relegation.

In the other Rwenzori group game, CRO who were surprisingly shocked at home last week by Paidah Black Angels will this time round play to attain a morale boosting home victory against a determined Kumi United side.

In the two Elgon group games, 5th placed Proline (on 8 points) hosts 8th positioned Creamland (on 6 points) while Wandegeya, who have just picked one victory  (a board room decision after Maroons F.C used an illegible player – Zlatan Lubega) hosts Busia United.

Wandegeya is in the relegation red line, having collected a meager 4 points from as many games played.

Only three teams are promoted to the elite Uganda Premier League with the top two sides per group earning direct promotion.

Meanwhile, the third side is determined through play off.

5 teams per group will be relegated to the regional leagues with the bottom 4 going down directly whilst the 5th team per group is determined by a relegation play off.
