Today’s fixtures
Men: Sport-S vs KAVC-8pm
Women: VVC vs Ndejje- 6pm
Just like rapper50 Cent’s movie, ‘Get Rich Or Die Trying,’ KAVC will be required to level the series of the NSSF Volleyball League or go down trying. Sport- S can win a record fifth league title today, only if they go past KAVC who are desperate to level the series and force a game five.
KAVC took the lead when they defeated the former 3-1 in game one, but had to surrender it as Sport-S won game two 3-1 and took the lead with a 3-2 triumph.
“It won’t be an easy tie, KAVC is a tough team, we have been able to have them where they are now because we have been tougher,”
Sport-S captain Andrew Wandera warned.
Sport-S will still count on their leathal attack of Dicken Otim, Ivan Ongom Andrew Tumukunde and Wandera himself. Setters Warren Muhangi and Albert Gayi will also be expected to dictate play like they have done throughout the series.
Otim, Ongom and Cyprian Uwimana have also pulled off monster blocks to frustrate KAVC. KAVC will hope that libero Emma Elanyu rediscovers his best quality-reception, if setter Allan Ssemanda, Martin Kalema are to command play.
Saviour Atama and Imaligant John will be required to play the support cast to main attack Jensen Chesist. Joel Endra and Tamale Richard should also come in handy not only in attack but also court cover, not forgetting Alex Nduhukire if he injury free.
