Savio Kabugo scored the only goal of the game as Uganda edged Ghana 1-0 in a 2015 AFCON qualifiers group E match played at Namboole.
The win puts Uganda on seven points one below Ghana and a win in the last game against Guinea will see the team through finals in Equatorial Guinea.
Kawowo Sports’ Ismael Kiyonga rates each Uganda Cranes that featured. The ratings are based out of ten and based on statistics.
Denis Onyango 7.0: He made two crucial saves to deny the Ghanaians from breaching The Cranes goal. His command of the backline was also okay.
Isaac Isinde 7.0: Started in an unfamiliar place as a right back and offered everything he could defensively. At times struggled against the marauding Baba Rahman and Ayew but kept his cool. Nevertheless, he offered less going forward.
Brian Majwega 6.0: Like Isinde, Majwega started in a makeshift role as a left back. He had a difficult time dealing with Atsu and later with Solomon Asante but played calmly even when cautioned.
Savio Kabugo 8.0: Won the game with a brilliant header in the first half and blocked a number of shots in defence. He read the game well and made necessary clearances. Man of the match without doubt.
Andrew Mwesigwa 5.5: Lucky to survive without a red card after putting himself in a tricky situation with a reckless first half challenge on Majeed Waris. His game reading was below par but provided the leadership at the back.

Tonny Mawejje 8.0: What a performance from the midfield maestro. Started as a lone defensive midfielder and provided enough cover to the backline. On top of that, he initiated attacks with his timely passes plus created two goal scoring opportunities.
Farouk Miya 5.0: Started the game on the back foot with a forgettable first half display. But he grew into the game in the second period.
Mike Serumaga 6.0: Won the corner that led to the winning goal and also assisted the winner. Besides that, he offered less to the team.
Luwagga Kizito 6.0: He had an off day in terms of contribution to the game though he held the ball well whenever in possession. Going by his previous shows, it was a bad day at office.
Yunus Sentamu 5.0: Surprisingly started after spending the whole week nursing an injury. His contribution was minimal. No wonder, he was replaced by Sserunkuma midway in the first half.
Geoffrey Massa 6.0: Had a few moments of brilliance but he was limited by the Black Stars centre back pairing of John Boye and Jonathan Mensah.
Substitutes
Daniel Sserunkuma 7.0: Came on for Sentamu and didn’t disappoint. Held up play well and created more goal scoring opportunities for his team mates than any other player.
Geoffrey ‘Baba’ Kizito 7.0: Replaced Mike Sserumaga in the 60th minute and provided cover to the backline. Made three brilliant interceptions to deny the enterprising Black Stars.
Robert Ssentongo N/A
Mulitin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic 8.0: He picked an attacking team perfect for a break or make tie and his substitutions didn’t dissapoint.
