Lweza 1 – 2 Express

Express football club have pipped Lweza 2 -1 in an exciting Uganda Premier league fixture played at the Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.
The Red Eagles took a deserved lead through an early Tadeo Lwanga stunning effort from 35 yards.

Lweza F.C rose the bar, attacking in numbers for the remaining time of the opening half.
They won 5 corners in succession before referee William Ssenkumba called for the half time break.

The second half kicked off in style for Lweza as Rajab Kakooza’s well drilled shot off the left foot easily beat Ivan Mutumba in Express’ goal for the equalizer.
Express coach, Wasswa Bbosa energized his attack as he introduced dribbling winger, Godfrey Lwesibawa.

The change reaped immediate dividends as the replacement crossed for Simon Sserunkuma for the red Eagles to regain their lead on 74 minutes.

Sserukunuma’s looping header beat Mulindwa Muwonge to spark wild celebrations from the cheering red army.
Sensing danger, Lweza head coach Villai Bianomugisha called for immediate changes.

Yusuf Ssozi was replaced by dribbling ace, John ‘Neymar’ Kisakye before Hood Kawesa paved way for the pacy diminutive fowrad Saad Kibirango .
Peter Kamanje later came for striker Francis Ssembatya but it was little too late.

The home team started the better side with skipper Willy Kavuma dictating the pace and Lwanga’s shot that caught goalie Frank Mulindwa napping did not surprise anybody.

Lweza, missing star player, Michael Sserumaga, who is just watching from the sidelines (has returned with Cranes today) have garnered momentum for the next 20 minutes.

Yusuf Ssozi, Peter Kamanje and Frank Kalanzi would have put Lweza ahead but Express defence manned by Bob Kasozi and goal keeper, Ivan Mutumba have been outstanding.
Express is now on 19 points.
