Stanbic Warriors Vs Tiger Head Power 8:00pm
UCU Canons Vs Magic Stormers 6:00pm

After going down in Game 1, Tiger Head Power responded well to take Game 2 and level the best-of-five series at one-all. Thanks to a balanced offensive play that saw four Power players score in double figures.

Power found loops in Warriors’ defense the last time out and exploited them but their coach, Bernes Akunda is aware points wont come easy tonight when they face off for a third time in the five game spread at YMCA and they have to make their own adjustment.

“We are going to work twice as hard because i know Gad is a mentally strong person and he is going to make it more harder (for us).” Bernes Akunda said going into Game 2.

“We know they will work hard to get up there and we will do the same here, correct a few mistakes we made today and we will do what we did right (today)” he said after the Game 2 triumph.

Gad Eteu knows his team’s number one undoing was defense and it is what he seeks to address going into tonight’s game.

“We have to play a much more intense defense and make a total adjustment in the first half.” Eteu said

Warriors will be without Ronnie Kasewu who hurt his fingers but will still push the team from the bench. Warriors will need contribution from the rest of the guys as only Henry Malinga reached double figure scoring in Game 2. Steven Okiasi, Mark Opio and Ivan Enabu have got to score.

“He (Kasewu) may not play and we will definitely miss him (on the floor) but we have got other guys who are ready to play and have been yearning to contribute.”
