Adam Rauf Essa and Aron Nsamba settled for 7th overall on day one of Rallye Des Mille Collines that kicked off on Friday in Kigali, Rwanda.

Essa showed he was indeed ready for the competition after he put up a tight battle with the local drivers. He however told Kawowo Sports that he was using the event to gain experience.

We don’t expect anything from the event. We only came to have fun and get more experience.

Overall, all Ugandan teams as expected stuttered to get their competition off the ground as they battled the big names from Rwanda and Burundi.
