Ugandan international striker Emmanuel Okwi has extended his stay at Tanzania’s Simba SC by signing a two year contract. The striker had initially penned a six month deal after joining from arch rivals Yanga in August but following his impressive performances for the club, they have decided to tie him.

Tanzania’s football blog bongostaz.blogspot.com confirmed that the new contract is an improvement from the past with Okwi expected to earn more in wages. Okwi is enjoying his second stint at the club after spells at Tunisia’s Etoile Du Sahel, SC Villa and Yanga.

He is part of the five Ugandan players at the club. Others are Daniel Sserunkuma, Simon Sserunkuma, Murushid Jjuuko and Joseph Owino.
