Ndejje University drew the first blood at the ongoing 9th edition of the Eastern Africa University games going on at UCU main campus in Mukono.

The games’ defending champions picked 3 medals from one event – wood ball.

The Luweero based institution scooped gold in the men and women doubles category before repeating the feat in the mixed doubles.

“The preparations were had have reaped dividends” an over joyed Lillian Zawedde, who combined with Ronald Kawumba to take gold remarked.

Bruno Bbosa and Joel Adupa tallied 113 strokes to finish top ahead of Collins Kamoga and Denis Ssekidde.

Joan Mukoova and Victoria Nankabirwa won the doubles women gold after returning 131 strokes.
