Uganda Premier League (Week 13):

Bul F.C 1-2 Vipers S.C

Vipers football Club needed a last gasp dramatic winner at Kakindu Stadium to maintain their top league status quo at the summit of the Uganda Premier table standings, overcoming home side, Bul F.C 1-2 on Friday.

Anti riot Police was called in swiftly to arrest the situation as angry BUL F.C fans threatened to beat up referee, Francis Jingo after the home fans complained of surpassing the added time of 4 minutes.

After firing a few cans of tear gas, the atmosphere normalized with some fans nursing head and leg injuries.

In the match proper, Vipers F.C took the lead after just 17 minutes – thanks to Uganda Cranes midfielder, Faruku Miya’s superb free-kick.

Both sides created several scoring opportunities in vain and the match looked destined to end with one one registered not until Milton Kalisa’s equalizer, 3 minutes to full time.

The goal sparked wild celebrations for the home fans but the visitors were desperate for the three points, endlessly attacking Bul in the remaining minutes of the game.

Playing deep in injury time, Vipers S.C notched the winner through defender Deus Bukenya, a goal that is highly disputed by many parties – alleging center referee, Francis Jingo of exceeding beyond the added 4 minutes.

As Vipers S.C players celebrated the goal, Bul F.C players bitterly expressed their dissatisfaction towards the referee, complaining of playing over 100 minutes.

At this moment, rowdy fans joined the commotion for the same cause.Upon restart, Jingo quickly called for full time but police was quick to react and arrest the situation.

BUL F.C laision officer, Joseph Mutaka wrote on his face book page, purely in disappointment of the result and officiation.

Vipers S.C now accumulate 35 points from the 14 games with one upcoming fixture against Bright Stars F.C on Tuesday at Buikwe Stadium in Mukono.

Bul drops to 6th with 22 points, same as Police F.C who won the Kavumba derby, beating Soana F.C 2-0.

Bul F.C hosts another football giant, Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club on Tuesday at the Kakindu Stadium on Tuesday.
