The Federation of Uganda Basketball Association is set to hold its annual General Assembly. The one day event will take place on Saturday, January 31 at Kati Kati Restaurant in Lugogo.

The gathering of the game’s stake holders will also be an Elective General Assembly. The new Executive Committee of the federation will elected.

“The federation is ready for the assembly. The invitations have gone out and the announcements as required by the assembly so we are ready” FUBA’s Publicity Vice President, Ali Baluywa told Kawowo Sports.

Among other things to be done during the Assembly will be the presentation of Executive and Financial Reports, Budget, Term Development Programs, Proposal for amendments of the Constitution and the election of the Executive Committee.

Nomination of the candidates to the executive committee will be done on the floor of the AGM. There are sixty eight clubs with voting rights, each club has one vote and the associate member (Uganda Women’s Basketball Association) has another.

Meanwhile, the Federation Publicity Vice President, Ali Baluywa has expressed no interest of returning to the Executive for any position. “I’m not returning. Unless anything changes between now and then (January 31) but at the moment, No!” Baluywa said on returning to the FUBA Executive Committe.
