Date: Wednesday January 28, 2015 Venue: Estadio de Malabo Kick Off: 9pm (Ugandan Time)

Fireworks is expected at Estadio de Malabo on Wednesday evening when giants Cote d’Ivoire and Cameroon face off in the penultimate group D fixture.

The two sides are tied on everything and thus each need victory to progress to the last eight of this year’s competition.

The Elephants will miss the services of midfielder Cheikh Tiote and forward Gervinho who are both suspended while Indomitable Lions are without Eyong Enoh through injury.

Group D remains the tightest of the groups with all fixtures having ended 1-1 an implication that drawing of lots may decide who goes through if both fixtures end in identical draws.

This last happened in 1988 when Ivory Coast missed out chance on advancing to the quarters at the expense of Algeria who won the lot and will be out to avoid history repeating itself.

The two sides last faced off in the qualifying rounds with Cameroon winning 4-1 at home before earning a goalless draw in Abidjan.

The two sides can still afford a stalemate and advance in case they are involved in a draw with more goals than the match between Mali and Guinea.
