Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has launched a new radio station, FUFA F.M on Wednesday.

Announcing the radio station, FUFA President, Moses Magogo told the weekly press conference at Mengo;

I hereby announce the birth of a new radio station under the frequency 102.1 FM. The station is to educate, inform, entertain and for commercial purposes.

Magogo explained that the FUFA radio project is a brain child of the FUFA Executive. FUFA F.M, which has an 80KM radius joins the over 220 stations in the country.

On how much the project cost, Magogo declined to comment referring the matter as an in-house affair.

The project is being financed under the special FIFA Goal project that the federation submitted to FIFA after the general assembly held in Lira.

David Isabirye is a senior staff writer for Kawowo Sports where he covers most of the major events.
