Ghana Vs Guinea @ Estadio de Malabo Kick Off 7pm (Ugandan Time)

The Black Stars of Ghana will be targeting a fifth straight semi-final appearance when they take on Guinea in the 3rd quarter final of the 2015 Africa Nations Cup.

Ghana reached the stage after topping group C following a 2-1 win over South Africa in their penultimate game despite losing their opener 2-1 against Senegal while Guinea needed a draw of lots to beat Mali to second place in group D.

Ghana will rely on Andre Ayew who has so far been involved in three goals in the tourney scoring twice and assisting one plus skipper Asamoah Gyan whose late winner against Algeria put the four time champions back in contention for a slot in the quarters.

As for Guinea, they will still be without defenders Kamil Zayate and Florentin Pogba who are still nursing injuries while star man Ibrahima Traore is doubtful.

The two sides faced off in the qualifiers with Ghana winning 3-1 at home while the game in Morocco ended 1-1.

Ghana have a decent record against Guinea in AFCON finals having won three of the last five meetings while two have been draws.

The winner of the tie will face hosts Equatorial Guinea in the semi-finals. The hosts beat Tunisia 2-1 after extra time in Bata on Saturday.
