Arthur Blick Jr might be in the twilight of his career and he hasn’t lost the urge to rewrite history.
The rider/driver has revealed that that he would love to win the National Rally Championship (NRC) and MX titles in a single season.
That would make him the first man to achieve the feat: “It is possible to do both championships as there is enough time for recovery in between. I feel my body is still strong,” he told monitor.co.ug.
“A perfect start will set up the rest of the season as I attempt to win a record 11th title,” he added.
While Blick is looking at a double in two different kinds of races he will also have to deal with rider Maxime Van Pee, the 21-year old ended the former’s 10 year reign as MX1 winner
“But my priority now is to take on Maxime Van Pee for the MX1 opener.”
Apart from Maxime though, Blick Jr, will battle with Asaf Natan, Talha Kiggundu and Jojo Johnson who has upgraded from MX2.
The MX Championship gets under way this Sunday at the Ugandasports Arena in Busiika while the NRC rolls off in two weeks’ time with the Mbarara Rally.
