By the time it was all over at Namboole stadium, Substitute Patrick Kaddu’s 78th minute header meant that new SCVU boss, MP Muhammad Nsereko would have to wait to see his newly acquired franchise record their first win in the UPL second round.

Fresh from lossing away to KJT Rwenshama, the varsity side once again lost at home to perennial rivals Kira Young in a 1-0 scoreline in a game that attracted a considerable number of fans.

On the other side,it was all smiles to new head coach Steven Bogele who recorded his first win since joining Kira young a few weeks back.

After a sleep-inducing first half, teams stepped up their display in the open and entertaining second half period. Daniel Otto came closest twice for SCVU and Yuda Mugalu did once for Kira Young.

Teams created chance after chance in part two of the game and there would have been more goals if both sides were clinical enough with their finishing.

Kira young’s Ashadu Bugembe made crucial saves as well as his opposite number but Patrick Kaddu saved the day with his late goal for Kira Young. The win takes Kira young to 21 points while SC Victoria remain steadied with 15 points.
