Unbeaten Vipers SC will be out to reclaim top spot when they host Soana FC in a Uganda Premier League at Buikwe on Tuesday.

The 2010 champions kicked off their second round campaign with a narrow 1-0 victory against Sadolin Paints last Friday and Coach Edward Golola will seek more from his boys.

We had it tough against Sadolin Paints in our first game but fortunately we got the three points. We’ll need more than this against Soana. Our target is the summit of the log at the moment as we take game by game.

New signing Julius Malingumu is expected to lead the hunt for goals with a wealth of attacking talents playing behind him. Skipper Joseph Mpande, Vincent Kayizzi; scorer in the game against Sadolin and Allan Kyambadde will be crucial for the second placed side.

For Soana, a boost of three points after URA FC refused to show up a week ago will give them great belief for survival and will be eager to earn maximum points from this game.

For the first time this season, Soana sit out of the relegation zone in 12th position and victory may see them go as high as 10th on the table.

At Nakivubo, Rwenshama will battle Bright Stars who kicked off their second round campaign with victory over Sadolin Paints away from home before being awarded three points when Kira Young refused to honour their fixture in Mwerwere seven days ago.

Bright Stars sit 4th on the table while Rwenshama who have won two out of their previous three games are 15th on the log. Victory for the hosts will lift them from relegation zone for the first time this season.

In other fixtures, Bul. FC who edged Lweza 3-2 in the other game host struggling Entebbe FC who are yet to win a fixture in the second round of the league while Police FC host another struggling side SC Victoria University at Kavumba Recreation Ground in Wakiso.
