Saturday 14th, March 2015

Uganda’s CAF Confederations Cup representatives URA F.C have left for South Africa ahead of their CAF Confederations Cup fixture against Orlando Pirates.

The two sides face off in the first leg of the first round of the competition On Saturday March 14.

A 19-man delegation which includes 16 players and three officials have made the trip with injured James Kasibante, red carded Robert Ssentongo and unfit Patrick Ochan all absent from the squad.

URA FC will have to do without Robert Ssentongo who played a pivotal role to the team’s progression to this round, but as he told Kawowo Sports,  Head Coach Alex Isabirye believes his side can still pick up draw from the second placed side in the PSL league without him.

I think we have prepared well for the game and my boys are ready. We can get a draw even if we are without Ssentongo. The available strikers can fill that void.

In Ssentongo’s absence, high towering striker Frank Kalanda and Peter Lwasa will be tasked to hunt for goals.

The travelling team:

Goal Keepers: Brian Bwete and Sulait Luyima
