Ghana and Mali qualified for the 2015 Fifa under-20 World in New Zealand after victories in their Group B African Under-20 Youth Championships matches on Thursday at the Caroline Faye Stadium in M’Bour.
Both nations joined Nigeria into the last four of the African Under-20 Youth Championships.
Ghana defeated Zambia 2-1 after Mali had emerged winners against the Amajita of South Africa by a similar scoreline.
Ghana and Mali have six points each after victories in two games making and the two sides are to meet on Sunday in M’Bour.
The other World Cup slot will be decided in Group A with host Senegal, Ivory Coast and Congo in contention.
The Junior Chipolopolo of Zambia arguably played their best game at the tournament so far but Ghana came from behind snatching a winner in the final minutes of the match.
