Jinja District Schools Boys Football finals:

Jinja S.S 3-0 Jinja College

Fauzi Kisambya scored twice in Jinja secondary school’s 3-0 victory over Jinja College in the finals of the Jinja district post primary qualifiers at Kakindu Stadium on Wednesday.

The other goal came from Ivan Naimaza as Jinja S.S marked a return from a year long ban over violence in the games.

The two schools (Jinja S.S and Jinja College) will represent the district at next month’s eastern regional qualifiers.

Jinja district secondary schools football association chairperson Daniel Musota used the platform to advise the schools against use of mercenaries.

Now that the national schools committee shifted a two year ban because of last district finals that was mauled with violence , it is a grand opportunity for the two schools Jinja College and Jinja SS to showcase their way through this competition. If you want to protect the image of schools football, you have to avoid licensing mercenaries and also control fans from being violent . We must help these players train hard enough to be able to adopt to team football rather than individual football as this will help you avoid injuries

The eastern regional competition that will kick off at Bukooli College in Bugiri district from April 10-12.

Over 36 schools took part in the Jinja district qualifiers that ran from March 5 from various schools play ground.
