Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has appointed Simba sports club head coach, Moses Basena as the new assistant coach for the senior national team, the Uganda Cranes.

Basena’s appointment follows FUFA’s executive committee that convened on Wednesday, April 15th 2015 at the federation headquarters in Mengo, Kampala.

FUFA CEO, Edgar Watson announced this on Thursday in the weekly press briefing.

We announce the appointment of Moses Basena as the new assistant coach of the Uganda Cranes. His appointment takes immediate effect

Basena, a former Cranes international player replaces Kefa Kisala, who has been appointed head coach of the Under 20 team.

Bright Stars football club head coach, Fred Kajoba remains the Cranes goal keeping coach.

Watson also notified the media of the changes for the other national teams.

Peter Onen replaces Matia Lule as head tactician of the national U-17 team.

Lule is head coach at Tanzania premier side, Stand United F.C.

Since Lule departed the country, he can not still be considered for national duty

At the same press conference, the national team coordinators were confirmed.

Notably missing are Fred Katende Malibu and Emmanuel Ndugga who have been the Cranes and U-17 media team media officers respectively.
