Masaka based school, St. Charles Lwanga Kasasa and Jinja S.S became the latest schools to qualify for the last 16 hurdle.

Kasasa beat Kitara Model 3-0 on Monday morning to progress to the last 16 stage at the on-going Copa Coca Cola schools championship in Hoima.

Pius Kaggwa, Imran Mutebi and Oscar Agabe scored the goals for Kasasa, who now accumulate 15 points, 3 ahead of Kasese Muslim, who shockingly lost to Bright Light 1-3 in the other group D fixture.

Ivan Wani scored for Jinja S.S against Butobere to seal their place alongside Risah, Nansana who were 3-0 winners over Lango College.

U-17 left winger, Pius Obuya, Lameck Bukenya and Lawrence Mwebaze scored Risah’s goals at the Duhaga 2 play ground.

In the other games played, Christ School, Bundibujo won 2-1 at the Jubilee ground over Tororo Town College.

Joshua Muhumuza had a brace for Christ School before Jackson Otihwo scored the consolation.

Kabalega were 2-1 victors over Uganda Martyrs’ Kangulumira as Masaka S.S beat Old Kampala 1-0.
Buhobe S.S overcame Adwari in the other morning game.

The rest of the group games will be completed by Monday evening to confirm the 16 teams that join Kitende, Kibuli, Kigezui High and Sentah College, Mbarara.

Tuesday will be a rest day for many teams with the round of 16 starting Wednesday morning.
