Former Proline attacking midfielder Andrew Buteera has been included in the Rwanda U23 squad to face Uganda Kobs in the 2016 Olympic Qualifiers.
The APR FC midfielder missed the ties against Somalia in the first round after he was dropped alongsideseven other players because the Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) wrongly filled in their play cards to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as compared to what their clubs handed in during the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederations Cup earlier this year according to The Times of Rwanda.
Coach Johnny McKinstry summoned a provisional squad of 25 players including two foreign based players Yves Rubasha who plies his trade in US with Portland Timbers and Bonflis Kabanda who features for Asd Sangiovannese in Italy.
The squad comprises of three goalkeepers, seven defenders, ten midfielders and five strikers.
Rwanda hosts Uganda Kobs on May 23 in the first leg at Amahoro with the return match to be hosted in Kampala a week later.
