Kira Young Football Club is set to lock horns against army side, Simba in one of the eight last games of the 2014/15 Uganda Premier League.

The highly anticipated duel will take place at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Namboole on Tuesday at the same time the other seven fixtures happen at the other venues.

Kira Young director, Jimmy Lukwago has already hyped the game as the fixture of a life time.

The game against Simba is the most important in the club’s  history ever

Lukwago, who once wanted to stand for FUFA Presidency said.

Kira Young is in a must win situation as they lie 13th on 31 points, same as Soana but Kira has a better game difference.

Simba on the other hand, sit 12th with 34 points and the best result they need to play it safe is a draw.

Soana shall be taking on Police in their determinant game against Police in the Kavumba derby.

The other game of influence shall be at Lugogo when the defending champions, KCC play host to Lweza.

Moses Basena, head coach at the army team, Simba believes they can jump this relegation mathematics and he has already urged his charges to kill off the game in the opening minutes.

It is a tricky match, we need results at all costs, lest a draw. We shall go for the early killer

Basena, also assistant coach at Uganda Cranes remarked.

Kira Young’s Steven Bogere, 7-0 winners at Bugonga against already relegated Entebbe has challenged his troops to ‘die on duty’ for the much needed result – victory.

“We do not need a draw, we only need a win to avoid the mathematics involved” Bogere, a former Uganda Cranes midfield sensational player notes.

The corresponding first round fixture between the two teams was a goal-less draw played on 19th December 2015 at the intimidating Bombo Military stadium.

Key Players:

Simba will surely look to the magic display of Eziekel Katende, Derrick Semere, Raymond ‘Gazza’ Edema, Alex Witaba, Joshua Kabaale, Isaac Kasujja and the free scoring wizardry of Robert Nakyenalire.

On the other hand, Kira Young boosts of recently summoned Uganda Kobs’ left back, Fred Nkata, midfielder Derrick Tekkwo (also the team’s captain) and striker cum midfielder, Brian Nkuubi.

These will be supplemented by the services of Nigerian import, Lucky Bemidele, veteran Yudah Mugalu and the most on form club’s forward, Patrick Kaddu.

Kira Young will physiologically be boosted by the presence of former captain, Richard Kasagga on the sidelines as a motivational force.

May the better prepared side carry the day.
