KCC FC Vs Lweza – Phillip Omondi stadium, Lugogo @ 4.00pm
Lweza FC fans maybe under pressure going into Tuesday final league game against KCC FC but not their coach Hamza Kalanzi.
Lweza needs to pick at least a point off the hosts to stay in the top division for at least another campaign after joining last year.
In an interview with Kawowo Sports, Kalanzi said he is well aware of what is at stake and said his side can’t afford a loss against the back to back champions.
“Our target is maximum points. We are not playing for a draw,” he said. “Let the worst be a stalemate but there is no way we can afford a loss since that will leave things out of our hands,” he added.
Lweza sit 12th on the log but are not yet safe from the drop but Kalanzi who will be without Mike Sserumaga and Mahad Kakooza for the game has called on the fans to turn up in big numbers; cheer the team and also celebrate staying in the division.
“Our fans have been immense this campaign and I call upon each and every one to come and give the boys support on this important final day of the season.”
Lweza won the reverse fixture 1-0 at Wankulukuku thanks to a lone strike from left back Farouk Musisi.
