Fort Portal will be the center for the fourth round of National Rally Championship scheduled for July 3-5th.

Uganda Motorsport Club (UMC) has opted to have the rally in western Uganda for the first time in 39 years.

The Clerk of Course Jeff Kabagambe told with Kawowo Sports about the event.

We always make changes in the sport, we need to create competition in different terrain just like we did in the Mbale Rally. It is one way of promoting the sport.

Safety was another concern cited in the Fort Portal move.

There are more closed routes compared to the ones we are used too, this will help us handle safety throughout the event.

The event will run on two days with a Super Special at the Boma Grounds on July 4th.

Arthur Blick Jnr currently tops the NRC log with 260 points
