Ahead of Saturday’s Uganda Under 23 (The Kobs) first round of Africa U-23 Championship and Olympics qualifier against Rwanda at the Amahoro Stadium, the Ugandan team embarks on two day residential training.

The training shall take place at the African Bible College premises in Lubowa along Entebbe road.

“We should have stayed at Njeru but because we want to be near Entebbe Airport, we shall be within a reachable distance” Micho  said of the choice of training venue.

Sudanese based goal keeper, Jamal Salim and Gor Mahia left footer, Aucho Khalid are the foreign players on the team.

There are 28 players who will be reduced to 20 before the team departs for Rwanda on Friday morning.

The winner between Uganda and Rwanda over the two legs will play Egypt at the next hurdle for a place to the African U-23 Championship in Senegal come December 2015.

The four semi finalists will represent Africa at the 2016 Rio Olympics in Brazil.
