Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has parted ways with head tactician, Alex Isabirye.

After a dismal season that witnessed the tax collectors finish 4th in the domestic league, get eliminated at the quarters of the Uganda Cup and bow out of the CAF Confederations cup at the first round, the club confirmed their search for another coach to replace the former Uganda Cranes international striker.

“We agreed with the coach (Isabirye) he steps down at the end of the season” URA’s secretary, Henry Mayeku confirmed to Kawowo Sports.

Isabirye bid farewell to the players and officials after the team’s 2-1 victory at the intimidating Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku on Tuesday during one of the 8 last fixtures of the season.

On Isabirye’s replacement, Mayeku is still cocky and tight lipped.

When Kawowo Sports probed the tax collector’s official on the possibility of recruiting former BUL F.C coach, Kefa Kisala, he was skeptical and rather philosophical.

“Coach Kisala is a good friend, so, I have been talking to him like my ‘buddy’ but not yet on official issues of the club” Mayeku confirmed.

Inside sources at the club a indicate Kisala is in advanced talks with top club officials for a three year term.

Kisala, also coach for the national U-20 team has been unemployed since BUL F.C terminated his services in January.

He was recently assigned by FUFA as a top scout at the national copa coca cola schools tournament alongside youth goal keeping tactician, Daniel Kiwanuka.
