Kampala City Council Capital Authority (KCCA) Executive Director, Jenifer Semakula Musisi has announced a U.shs 100M players savings and credit scheme.
The scheme shall be called the ‘KCCA Players’ SACCO meant to improve on the players’ welfare ahead of life outside football.
Musisi was hosting the players, fans, club officials, fans, FUFA officials and the media to a brief luncheon that also marked the first day of the fans’ registration.
The function took place at the KCCA Phillip Omondi stadium in Lugogo where KCC Executive Director, Jenifer Musisi was chief guest
We are so glad of having KCCA F.C. We lost the league title to Vipers but we shall work hard to reclaim that trophy. We have only lent the trophy to them. As the authority, we have started a players’ savings and credit scheme worthy U.shs 100M. Players will benefit from it to help improve on their welfare
Musisi said amidst wild cheers.
At the same function, the new KCC F.C board headed by Julius Kabugo was officially ushered in.
KCCA F.C’s New Board
The board has Julius Kabugo as Chairman replacing Mike Okua. Other members on the board are; Godfrey Kisekka, the new Vice chairman replacing the vocal Allan Ssewanyana.
George Opio is head of Human Resource, Edgar Kabulidde (finance), David Tamale (CEO), Edgar Bwambale (Procurement), David Tamale (Operations), Edson Masereka (Strategy), Counsel Isaac Sempembwa (Secretary), Collins Njeye (legal), Brenda Orishaba (logistics), Paul Agaba (Public Relations).
Kabugo promised a new wave at the historic club including securing land in the city for new club stadium.
KCC F.C becomes the second club in the country to start a players’ scheme after Uganda Revenue Authority (URA’s motor cycle (boda boda) project launched in January 2015.
